I have worked with Priority since 2014 and have been a mortgage loan officer since 2002. 

 

The mortgage industry was full of unethical people when I began, which motivated me to write a consumer protection book, The Normal People’s Guide to Home Financing. I warned people about bait-and-switch lending practices; I called out junk fees in both lending and escrow companies; explained how points and adjustable-rate mortgages work; and many other important topics to help people protect themselves. I offer a copy of the book at no charge to my clients and potential clients.

 

My passion is to help people realize their dreams of owning a home with a payment they can comfortably afford.

 

My subspecialty is helping self-employed people prepare for loan approval when they are planning to buy or refinance a property. I do the lender math on drafts of tax returns before filing, so that my clients know in advance how the lender will calculate their income. This helps them make informed decisions. If tax returns don’t accurately reflect my clients’ cash flow, there are many loan types that use alternative income documentation.
